Did a little junk yard searching today and came across a 1987 Mustang GT with an AOD tranny. I was looking for a C-4 and dont know much about the AOD. The guy at the junk yard said that it needed the comp to run the tranny, sounded funny to me and then my bro said the same thing so Im not sure if it would work or not. Could it be posible to us it on my 84 carbed 302 with out many modifacatins?

No computer required to run an AOD. The 87 and older AOD's are less desirable, as the 88 to 91 had an oiling modification engineered into them that greatly prolongs life. You will have to get an adapter and new output shaft($500.00) There is also the need for a throttle valve cable. This is available from Total Performance in Michigan. ($125.00)
If built properly,($600.00) the AOD is plenty strong enough to handle a healthy V-8, but the cost is somewhat prohibitive. The only reason I went with AOD is that it is my daily driver, and the OD will eventually pay for itself. Good luck whatever you decide.
