View Full Version : Anyone Running in the TREC series?
Just curious if anyone is running the TREC series? I was looking though the rules and it looks like I can't since my suspension did not come from a kit (at least in class b). Is this true? It's an entirely stock suspension...just didn't come on the explorer :dunno: I couldn't possibly compete in a higher class unfortunately. I was pretty much just skimming them at this point. It'd be a blast to take the sploder to an event :D
Maybe you should get it to a trail FIRST before worrying about running a competition :lmao::lmao:

Do you know if SAS's are allowed off the top of your head. The rules didn't really specify if you could run a stock suspension from a different truck. Isn't class B the stock class? That's what I was looking at.

hehe yeah probably :redneck:
Only thing keeping it off the trail right now is the weather. I can't handle this crap :bawl:

i talked to kyle last nite. 1986 ranger with duratec, cut and bent beams (commercially available kit), built radius arms (commercially available kit), leaf sprung rear, stock suspension mounting points, engine within 3" of original placement, stock wheel base, 9" bobbed bed, cage +/-, 35" tires, no hydraulic bump stops, appropriate safety lights and strobes, rear shocks extending through bed, original wheel-houses/inner fenders, less tha 6" lift, and hydraulic assist steering = stock. they are adding a mod-stock for 2010 that sas mods would probably easily fit in? but ask.
Nice. I pm'd Kyle the other night hopefully he'll get back to me. The mod stock sounds great, i'm hope my simple RA/trac bar SAS won't be too outmoded. Oh well...just more reasons to upgrade :redneck:
