Finally got my block all tore down. Doesn't look to need any machine work, just the cylinders honed. It did not look too bad for having 150,000 miles on it. I am ordering the 302 rebuild kit from Summit that comes with pistons, rings, cam and cracnk bearings, and oil pump. Anyone used one of there kits? Also I have the older efi intake without the curve. Will this clear my air conditioning hardwear thats in front of the heater box? Or do I need a angled intake like the 94-95 5.0's. Also who makes the best fit and finish headers? I am using gt convertable motor mounts to bolt it in. http://www.kuntrynet.com/users/kane/photos/shop.jpg

If you want to keep your AC, you'd better get the newer intake. I had a hard time even getting the intake in with the AC stuff, let alone airducts, and filter.

I was looking into picking up a gt-40 intake or stock explorer upper and lower instead. I have seen elbow adapters in Mustang magazines and wonder if this lets the straight intake run in a 94-94 5.0 with a newer 94-95 throttle body. I have been trying to sign on to corral.net for the past week for some more advice on what will work, but there system is screwed up.

Use explorer intakes! They are better then even the ported custom $700 ones from the after market. Quite afew companies even admit this. FYI ya know...

Hey nice looking Banshee. A friend of mine got a rebuild kit for a 85 5.0L H.O. out of a mustang from summit and it was a good kit. He had it bored .030 and we put it together. It didn't come w/cam,he put a comp cams cam in it and it worked great. I've got one to for a 350 and everything was fine. Brick

I haven't had any time or space to work on the 302. The dam banshee motor is apart again. Ever since I modified the motor. Its been eating transmission parts for lunch. I had no 2nd gear all fall. So I shifted from 1st to 3ed when I rode. Now I have to replace parts for the 2nd and the 3rd gear from the abuse. I am looking into what heads to run on the 302 motor. I've got a line on a pair of rebuilt e'5s but they have 69cc chambers.

Check out www.powerheads.com (http://www.powerheads.com) I'm thinking about getting the early ones for my 351W buildup. It's either those, or I'm just gunna spring for AFR's.. These heads ROCK.
