What bellhousing do I need to run to swap my C4/5 from the 2.9L to a 5.0L??
Or better yet, is that all I need to swap??
Can I just buy a scatter shield bell, or a stock one from an EB or something??
And then, what flexplate, and converter??

small block ford. they are usually easy to find still. the race ones are ok too but i've heard they are large around.

there are two different types, make sure you get one with the number of bolts that is required to hold it on the trans. I think one is 5 and one is 6? or something like that. Then get the matching flex plate for the 5.0 154 tooth i believe.

front pump bolt mounting is most common - some older ones were case mounted (larger bolt diameter).
p.s. if it is c5 it is font pump bolt mounted.

It is.....
So any C4 bell will do the job?? And just grab the flexplate that comes with it?

as long as it is not the case mounted bell - 90% of all the bells i see for sell ar e font pump mounted. looks like jeggs part number 564-92480 would sure fit the bill and it's less than $200. not sfi but claims 600x's stronger than oem. call 877-771-3372 merlins transmission supply.

You need a 157 tooth bellhousing from a Mustang II. I used to have the ford casting # but I can't find it anywhere. As for a flexplate you need a 157 tooth 50 oz. unbalance for a roller 5.0. If you are running a non-roller block you will need a 28 oz. I actually have an extra 157 tooth 50 oz. PM me if interested.
